It's a winner. Was it hard to make? I have fantasties about making an ERMIE (http://ermieblog.blogspot.com) quilt with all of Jennifer's offcuts. Jennifer - if you're reading, send 'em my way.

@Belinda not that hard but I lost momentum about 3 times... started this bastard about 2 years ago... and now not really keen on the fabrics... ah well... an ERMIE quilt would be divine!! DO IT!

well; you have inspired me.

i have two complete quilt tops from 2010-2011 that i haven't quilted hidden away, plus another quilt top that has been lying around unfinished for a few months now (and that includes all the uncut material and sewing machine, too, and hence my desk has been effectively unusable all this time), and a plain-top quilt that i'm about halfway through hand quilting lying around that was supposed to have been finished for use over summer.

that's four quilts in total, NONE of which are anywhere near finished. i completely understand you comment about losing momentum..! it's just so enjoyable creating new colour combinations, and the repetitiveness ca be quite zen-like. but they're such MAMMOTH undertakings that it's easy to feel overwhelmed and take long breaks.

but one of the things that i like about yours is that the actually quilting is quite minimal (and effectively so); i feel like i could do that. maybe...
